This morning I had the great opportunity to participate in a local photo walk, one of more than 1100 photo walks taking place this weekend as part of Scott Kelby’s Fourth Annual Worldwide Photo Walk. Our small but determined group, led by local pro Dave Burbank, joined up at Fire Station #9 at 10 this morning despite the cold temperatures and lingering rain.
In a stroke of good timing, the weather cleared up enough for us to go out and walk the streets of Collegetown, snapping pictures of anything and everything we thought interesting. For me, it was a challenge to get out of my normal nature-and-macro mode and spend a little more time with street photography. It also gave me a chance to talk shop with other shutterbugs, something that just doesn’t happen often enough.
